White Wine Chicken Sauté Recipe

After a hectic week, get some relaxing dinner at home with White Wine Chicken Sauté. This is a simple, quick recipe that would get your evening going.

White Wine Chicken Sauté Recipe

  • Freshly cut sprigs of thyme and rosemary
  • 1 Chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • ¼ cup white wine
  • 1/3 onion, sliced
  • 4-5 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper

  1. Drizzle a small skillet with olive oil. Arrange onion slices, garlic slices, and a sprig each of rosemary and thyme.
  2. Turn on to medium heat and allow the garlic and onions to begin to cook.
  3. When the onions are on their way to translucent, add in the mushrooms and give a stir.
  4. Allow everything to sauté until cooked through and slightly golden.

  1. Remove the onions and mushrooms, setting aside to eat when the chicken is finished.
  2. Deglaze the pan with the white wine, adding in a little more fresh thyme and rosemary.
  3. Add your chicken and cook until it’s almost done – you’re essentially poaching the chicken in the aromatic white wine.

To Finish

  1. Pour out the wine wine, garlic, and herbs, keeping the chicken in the pan.
  2. Turn the heat up slightly and allow the chicken to get golden on one side.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Arrange on your plate and drizzle with some of the reduced herb wine, also adding in some of the herbs and garlic. Enjoy!
